It appears the market is still pretty high in inventory, but at least we are starting to level out instead of move in the upward fashion of 2008.  If you are interested in buying a home in the Charlotte Region, now seems to be a great time to do so.  With the number of homes available for sale still relatively high and interest rates continuing to move downward, it’s a good time to buy.  There are a lot of distressed homeowners out there looking to sell their home, so bargains are still available.  Even if you don’t get a great deal on a home, since interest rates are at historical lows, your monthly payment will be much more affordable now than it was just last year.

If you are looking to sell, you may want to consider getting your home on the market now before the big rush of homes happens in the beginning of the year.  As you see in the inventory report, inventory tends to skyrocket in January and February, so it would be good to get your home on the market before the rest of the sellers jump in.
