Garner NC Now Known Nationwide as Scotty McCreery Wins American Idol
Last night, the RBC Center in Raleigh NC was rockin’ as the hometown favorite, Scotty McCreery, became Season 10 Winner of American Idol. Admittedly, I didn’t watch American Idol much during the live shows this season other than to see who was cut each week, but it was good to catch the end of last night’s show to see Scotty win. The prior week I watched Scotty’s emotional return to Garner NC, just outside of Raleigh NC, where he visited the grocery store where he worked and the high school he attended. You could sense how genuinely overwhelmed he was by the incredible support the local community was giving him and how his life now will never be the same.
